Understanding statuses¶

Meaning and next step |
|---|---|
No check configured yet |
The device is saved, but no check has been explicitly created. Open Configure. |
Pending |
A new or reset check is waiting for a result. |
OK |
The checks performed currently report no errors or exceeded thresholds. |
Warning or failed attempt |
A warning threshold has been reached, or a query has failed without reaching the configured failure threshold. Read the check details. |
Critical |
A critical threshold or a critical substatus has been detected. |
Failure or check failed |
The actual check fails; the specific message identifies, for example, HTTP, TCP or the resource query. |
Check error |
The check could not be performed correctly for technical reasons. Check access, required programs and the specific error message. |
No readings or incomplete readings |
All or some of the expected values are missing. Check the readings provided and permissions on the target system. |
Overdue |
The last result is older than the expected update. Check the background service and, if applicable, the data collector. |
Paused |
The device or check has been stopped. Start monitoring again if needed. |
Suspended by dependency |
A configured parent check currently prevents a reliable check of this device. Open the dependency. |
Not activated |
The device is blocked by the device limit. Check activation and device selection. |
A device with several active checks shows the relevant status requiring attention among those checks. Open the details to find the specific cause. When assessing active checks, paused individual checks are not treated as current outages. Old successful values do not replace a new result after a configuration change.
