Hardware · Synology NAS reads Synology system health, temperatures, drives and RAID over SNMP. First enable SNMP in DSM and configure read access for the monitoring server.

Hardware · UPS uses the standard UPS-MIB according to RFC 1628. Supported values relate to the battery, remaining runtime, power source and load. SNMP must be enabled and accessible on the UPS.

Both types usually use port 161. Select SNMPv3 · encrypted and enter SNMP user, Authentication password, Encryption password and Authentication, or select SNMPv2c and enter the Community. SNMPv3 uses AES encryption. Test and save. The measurement scope depends on the particular device and its MIBs.
