Reading retention and performance¶
Under Settings → Data retention and performance, you set the storage duration and number of parallel checks:
Field |
Default |
Allowed range |
|---|---|---|
Individual measurements (days) |
30 |
1–365 |
Hourly long-term values (days) |
730 |
30–3.650 |
Concurrent service checks |
8 |
1–64 |
Concurrent resource checks |
4 |
1–32 |
Concurrent additional checks |
4 |
1–32 |
Long-term values must be retained for at least as long as individual measurements. Save using Save. Changes to parallelism take effect after a service restart. If you shorten retention, older data is removed during the next cleanup; extending it later does not restore values already removed.
Individual measurements contain the detailed measurement points. Hourly long-term values retain weighted averages, minima, maxima and state counts. Chart periods of seven days or longer use these aggregates; the current hour is supplemented from the raw values still available. The interface offers chart periods of up to two years, even if you configure longer trend retention. Hourly values do not replace a complete detailed history.
