The application log is located at /var/lib/netzmonitor/netzmonitor.log. With systemd, further information is available in the journal:
sudo journalctl -u netzmonitor -n 50
When running without systemd, you can also find startup information in /var/lib/netzmonitor/startup.log. Use Check error in the interface and these logs to distinguish a monitoring server error from an actual fault in the target system. The doctor command is a basic local test and does not replace a connection test to a specific target device.
