Applying and updating templates

In Templates, the following actions are available for each template:

Action	Use
Select devices	Select target devices for application and open the preview
Update assigned devices	Apply the current template version to devices already assigned
Update template	Set the name and reference device for a new template version
Remove	Remove the template; devices, checks and readings are retained

The template shows the number of assigned devices and, if applicable, devices with an older version. Changing the template does not update devices automatically; explicitly apply the new version.

For an SSH template, click Check SSH server keys before opening the preview. Compare new fingerprints with the target servers and confirm The new server keys have been checked and are accepted.. Errors retrieving keys must be resolved before application. Then review the preview and click Apply changes.
