Azure Monitor

Azure Monitor uses a service principal with Monitoring Reader permissions.

The check uses HTTPS to Microsoft’s sign-in and management endpoints. It discovers resources and metric definitions, and retrieves current values from the last 15 minutes. The timestamp is shown in the result row. More than 100 resources or more than 50 metrics per resource require a smaller selection. A missing current value is displayed as missing. IDs must be valid UUIDs; a specific resource ID must belong to the selected subscription.
