Adding devices manually

A device is the common reference point for its checks. Creating a device does not yet configure any ping, web, TCP or resource checks.

1. Open Devices.

2. Click + Add device.

3. Under Name, enter a clear description, for example Linux-Webserver.

4. Under IP address or hostname, enter the address, for example 192.168.1.20 or webserver.intern.example.

5. Click Save. The Configure device page opens.

6. Activate or add the checks you want and apply them using Save all.

A device without a configured check shows No check configured yet. Merely appearing in the device list does not confirm that the device is reachable.
